End of Service Benefit

Finally, since NASSIT is fully aware of the contribution that our pensioners have made to Nation Building, NASSIT is designing GOLDEN AGE PROGRAMME for the sole benefit of our esteemed pensioners.  Details of this will soon be published.

LEAN ON NASSIT, WE CARE FOR YOU.

The National Social Security and Insurance Trust is pleased to inform our publics that we have received, on the 4th April, 2006 from government, the 1st set of retirees who qualify for a full NASSIT Pension. Those who know that they should be retiring from the service should call at the NASSIT Headquarter Office, 35A Lightfoot Boston Street, Freetown, to verify that their names are on the list of Retirees.

The Government has also been kind enough to submit cheques for their end of service benefits.  The cheques will be paid to these retirees on Friday 7th April 2006 at the Pensions Hall, Howe Street.

Gratuity payment will be made to these people on Wednesday 12th April 2006.  Please make sure you come along with all supporting documents to collect your gratuity at the same place.

All NASSIT Pensioners are encouraged to open a bank account and submit bank details to NASSIT into which monthly pensions will be paid.  This is because NASSIT wants to discourage their pensioners from queuing up or waiting about in halls for their pensions.  You are hereby advised to make it a must to supply us with your bank details.
