The Investments Department is a Department within the General Directorate of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust, and is charged with the following responsibilities:

  • Advising Management in selecting among available options for investing the Trust’s funds

  • Maintaining records on all investments, while developing appropriate statistics to be used for reporting

  • Conducting studies and carrying out preliminary reviews of investment options

  • Carry out direct supervision, coordination and monitoring of the fund’s active investments and reporting on their

    performance.

The Trust has developed an Investment Policy Statement, which summarises the principles and objectives of the Trust’s investments, explains the responsibilities of various bodies in the investment management process, and outlines the Trust’s medium-term asset allocation targets as well as the expected returns from investments.
